Build Your Own Acai Bowls

Build you own acai bowl this summer for a healthy and tasty treat! Acai bowls are one of my favorite summer time snacks! For some, it even makes a satisfying meal.

There are so many benefits to acai and the berry, tarty taste is so good! Whether you like your acai in a smoothie or a bowl, this recipe can be used either way to make a refreshing acai treat anytime.

Build Your Own Acai Bowl

  1. First, you will need acai packets. You can find these at Costco or even Trader Joe’s. Usually they need to be a little thawed so that they can be blended.
  2. Blend your acai pack with coconut water, milk/dairy free alternative or juice. It shouldn’t be too runny, but nice and thick like a smoothie.
  3. Add this to a bowl.
  4. Next, build your own acai bowl by adding your toppings. You can use fresh or frozen fruit, coconut shavings, granola, honey, chocolate chips, cocoa nibs, you name it!
  • My favorites are: granola, coconut shavings, fresh sliced banana, fresh blueberries, chocolate chips topped with a swirl of honey. Talk about YUM!
