Abundant Greens is an organic green superfood powder! It is a blend of organic moringa leaf, organic chlorella, organic spirulina, organic wheatgrass, organic alfalfa, organic barley grass and organic green stevia leaf.
I am currently pregnant, so it didn’t hit me until after the package arrived that I should probably look into these ingredients to find out if they are safe during pregnancy or not. I found a lot of mixed opinions, so I used my mommy intuition and decided that since it is safe for children to take, it was safe for me to use with caution.
I had the children’s serving (1/2 teaspoon) while my husband had the full adult serving (1 teaspoon). I love making smoothies, so I knew that I would use this powder by adding it to a delicious smoothie! You can also add it to water, juice or nut milks.
Here is my smoothie recipe using Abundant Greens:
- 1 whole fresh banana
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1/2 cup frozen cherries
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp Abundant Greens
Top with water and blend the ingredients.
What did I think about this powder? It tastes great, mixes well and I didn’t notice any clumps or grittiness. It did not provide me with any energy, but I have found nothing has been able to kick my pregnanct fatigue, plus I didn’t have a whole serving. As for my husband, he said “Wow this is so good!”.
What I love most about this powder is that it is nutrient and antioxidant rich! I am all about anything that promotes great health! You can find this amazing green superfood powder below:
