Traveling With Essential Oils

Is traveling with essential oils a good idea? Most certainly! I do not leave my house without essential oils. I carry samples in my purse for emergencies but for long trips where I will be away from home more than a day, I take these 6 bottles of essential oils with me.

Whether flying, boating or road tripping, it is always nice to have these essential oils within reach! After all, they don’t take up much space and are TSA friendly. Even one bottle of essential oils can help with so many things!

You can carry-on your essential oils! TSA allows 1 quart-sized ziploc bag or clear plastic tote containing liquids that are 3.4 ounces (100 ml) or less. However many that can fit in the bag is fair game. For those remedies needing a carrier oil, just put some in a small container for your trip. I usually put some fractionated coconut oil in a small 2 ounce mason jar to take with me on my travels.

You can also diffuse while traveling! A usb portable diffuser like this one is a must!

My must-have essential oils for traveling are:

Lemon– I love having lemon essential oil to add to my water, to diffuse or to use for cleaning.

Lavender– I love having lavender essential oil handy for myself and my kids, to promote calmness and restful sleep.

Peppermint– I love peppermint essential oil for supporting the digestive system and to add to my tea.

Thieves– Supports the immune system. Planes and other public places are full of germs! Just use some Thieves spray 🙂

Frankincense– I love this one for supporting skin health and alleviating any minor and normal skin issues.

Purification– A great one to diffuse or spray for purifying hotel rooms, planes, rental cars and more!
