Build Your Own Acai Bowl

Build you own acai bowl this summer for a healthy and tasty treat! Acai bowls are one of my favorite summer time snacks! For some, it even makes a satisfying meal.

Learn how to build your own acai bowl below:

  1. First, you will need acai packets. You can find these at Costco or even Trader Joe’s. Usually they need to be a little thawed so that they can be blended.
  2. Blend your acai pack with coconut water, milk/dairy free alternative or juice. It shouldn’t be too runny, but nice and thick like a smoothie.
  3. Add this to a bowl.
  4. Next, you add your toppings to your acai bowl. You can use fresh or frozen fruit, coconut shavings, granola, honey, chocolate chips, cocoa nibs, you name it!

My favorites are: granola, coconut shavings, fresh sliced banana, fresh blueberries, chocolate chips topped with a swirl of honey. Talk about YUM!
