How to Get Rid of Cradle Cap

You can get rid of your baby’s cradle cap once and for all with this one simple and natural remedy! Cradle cap is a pretty common occurrence in babies and even toddlers. All three of my kids have had cradle cap at some point and it can be unsightly to say the least.

Although unsightly, it is fairly easy to get rid of without using any harsh soaps or products that may irritate baby’s delicate and sensitive skin.

How To Get Rid of Cradle Cap With One Simple Natural Remedy:

It is rathe simple when it comes to getting rid of cradle cap. I have had so much success with straight up coconut oil (ps. Amazon has a 40% off coupon right now for Subscribe and Save!). I seriously swear by coconut oil and all of its amazing uses. Here is how to use coconut oil to get rid of cradle cap for good…

Take about one teaspoon of coconut oil and rub into onto the scalp and then let it sit for 30 minutes. I usually do this 30 minutes before bath time. After 30 minutes, wash baby’s hair like normal. You will also find their hair will be nice and soft from doing this.

For more stubborn cradle cap, take a soft bristle brush and brush at the area after applying the coconut oil and before washing it off. Sometimes it will be gone instantly, but more stubborn cradle cap may take about a week to go away if you do this every day.

I’ve even heard moms who have added one drop of lavender essential oil or rosemary essential oil to the coconut oil before applying it. Just be careful not to get it in their eyes. You can read more about using essential oils with babies and kids by reading my post about it.

I hope you found this post about how to get rid of cradle cap with one simple natural remedy both useful and effective.
