DIY Natural Liquid Soap

If you are wanting to save money and use more natural products around your home, this DIY natural liquid soap recipe is the perfect addition to any home. You can use this homemade soap to wash hands, dishes and more! This soap not only smells amazing but helps support the immune system by keeping hands and surfaces clean.

Soap making can be fun and I have found that my kids enjoy making this liquid soap with me because it is much easier to make than homemade soap bars. I get small 3 ounce soap dispensers and let them decorate it with stickers.

When I’m really in the homesteading mood, I will make a big batch (a gallon) of this soap so I don’t have to make it for awhile.

If you prefer not to make your own soap, I really like castile soap. I know soap making isn’t for everyone.

DIY Natural Liquid Soap

What you need:

  1. 1 part castile soap
  2. 2 parts distilled water
  3. 5-20 drops Thieves essential oil (use more drops for stronger scent)
  4. Soap dispenser

Directions:

  1. Fill an empty soap container with the castile soap.
  2. Add the essential oil. I usually use 10 drops for every 8 ounces of soap.
  3. Next, add the water to top off your DIY natural liquid soap.
