Natural Homemade Mouthwash

This all natural homemade mouthwash is made with only natural ingredients. No dyes or chemicals here! I don’t know about you, but I like to use all natural everything whenever I can! This includes oral care products.

Have you read the ingredients on your store-bought mouthwash lately? The thing that bothers me the most is the use of blue dye. I don’t care what color my mouthwash is, as long as it is natural and works! The store-bought “natural” kind can be somewhat expensive, so I have found it cheapest to make my own. Not to mention, it is the BEST mouthwash I have ever tried!

Making your own natural homemade mouthwash is easy and affordable. All you need is a few ingredients you might have around the house already. You might already find baking soda in your toothpaste or other oral care products. It is known to naturally clean and whiten your teeth. The essential oils are an added bonus. Besides giving you that minty fresh taste, Thieves and peppermint essential oils have many amazing properties and are thought to be antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory antiseptic.

What you need:
Mason jar
1 cup distilled water
4 drops Thieves oil
4 drops Peppermint essential oil
2 teaspoons baking soda

Directions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a mason jar and shake once before each use to make sure the oils are mixed in well since oils and water do not mix and separate when they are sitting.

Your mouth will thank me 🙂
