DIY Diaper Balm Using Essential Oils

This DIY diaper balm using essential oils is the perfect alternative to store-bought diaper creams. Plus, when I read those labels I see many questionable ingredients. Not to mention, they are also expensive!

Instead I make homemade diaper balm using all natural ingredients and essential oils! It is great for soothing skin irritations for both kids and babies. It really is more like an all purpose balm that is great for the entire family.

Natural diaper cream these days are either pricey or chock full of toxic ingredients with poor ratings on the EWG database. I don’t need a fancy brand or appealing scents, I just want something that works, is non-toxic and affordable.

Does anyone else know what I mean? If you make a big batch of this stuff, you  can give the rest away as gifts for baby showers or stocker stuffers too. So, let’s make our own diaper balm!

DIY Diaper Balm Using Essential Oils

What you need:

  1. Lavender Essential Oil
  2. Coconut Oil
  3. Optional – Beeswax (for thickness and to prevent melting during warm months)
  • Ratio: 1 tablespoon coconut oil for every 2-4 drops of lavender

Directions:

Mix the ingredients together for your very own DIY diaper balm and keep it handy in a container or mason jar 🙂
