Paper Bag Turkey Craft

This paper bag turkey craft is perfect for keeping the kids busy during the holidays. For those of you who don’t know, before my life as a mom I was a preschool teacher with a bachelor’s degree in child and family development. Working with children has always been my passion, until I had my own (haha!)

But really…I love that I can channel my inner preschool teacher doing crafts as the playgroup captain for my local fitness group for moms. Every week I plan a fun craft for the kids. And although I’m really not the craftiest person, I always have some cool ideas.

These paper bag turkeys are easy to make and super fun for the kids. It can be a little tedious cutting out all the leaves, but no big deal. If you want the turkey to be used as a puppet, make sure you glue the gobbler under the flap and the face of the turkey is on the bottom of the bag if the bottom of the bag is facing up towards you.

Paper bag turkey craft materials:

  1. Brown Paper Bags
  2. Colored Construction Paper
  3. Elmer’s Glue
  4. Googly Eyes

Directions:

Cut pieces for the nose, turkey gobbler, assorted colored feathers and eyes. Glue everything on the paper bag however you choose.
